Klarna Open Banking

The core of the project was the conception and design of a new backend portal for Klarna Open Banking (Kosma). The platform enables business customers to directly access all relevant open banking features
- Monitoring of transactions
- Management of connected banks per market
- Control of roles, rights & tasks
- Customer management at the B2B level
- Status overviews of availability and system states
The interface was specifically designed to ensure that even complex regulatory and technical relationships remain clearly readable. Visual principles, modular components, and consistent patterns ensured a UI that inspires trust and reduces errors.
Integrated support & customer management
A particular focus was placed on building an integrated support center. B2B customers could manage support cases within the system, respond to inquiries from their end customers, and trace communication history—centrally, in a structured way, and in a manner compliant with audit requirements.
A clear role and rights management ensured that users could only access the functions and data relevant to their market and authorization. This resulted in a system that dynamically adapts to different countries, regulatory frameworks, and business models.
Result
Today, the Klarna Open Banking Portal is a powerful control center for companies that productively use open banking interfaces. The platform combines technical precision with high user-friendliness, making complex financial infrastructure manageable for the first time.
